It is wonderful to meet together and to be able to sing hymns again. We are so grateful for the support of visiting clergy and licensed lay ministers from St Peter’s. Keith Bristow from Ash, Haydon Wilcox, and Martin James. This arrangement will continue until Gareth Dicks joins us with a graft from St Peter’s, which will enhance worship here at St Mark’s. Hopefully this will mean more families will attend, to enjoy worship and fellowship at St Mark’s. The church should be open and enjoyed, not just at the Sunday service. Before Lockdown, on Sundays, we had an 8 am Eucharist as well as the 10.30 am Eucharist with hymns. We used to have Junior Church, a mid-week service and ‘St Mark’s @ 5’, once a month on Sundays, evensong for Saints’ days during the year, full Easter, Advent and Christmas. We also have the benefit of the use of rooms in our Parish Hall with regular events in the past, eg: Pig Racing, Afternoon Teas, 90th & 100th Birthdays, 25th Wedding Anniversaries and catering after baptisms and funerals. St Mark’s Hall is what St Mark’s is about. We have had occasional services there too. I hope also that we can start Bible Study Classes as well. So what is happening now: Normal service, 10.30 am each Sunday Sunday 17th October, 10.30 am Harvest Festival, in church Please bring your contributions for the Farnborough Food Bank, to add to those brought by the pupils of St Mark’s Primary School.
