Angel Yarning
We are looking for keen Knitters to go … ANGEL YARNING! Do you fancy joining us? Along with many other churches in this area – and headed up by our friends at North Camp Methodist Church – we are, following previous years' success, once again being invited to join in with a Grand Knitting Campaign in time for CHRISTMAS. We are being encouraged to KNIT ANGELS, and once knitted, join in with distributing them throughout our area in lots of innovative ways. Last year, the target of 3000+ was reached ... this year, we are setting our sights on 4000! Can you help? The aim of the project is to leave the ANGELS in places all over the community as tokens of love and as a gift for Christmas to any who want to pick them up, offering a reminder of the tremendous gift of the CHRIST CHILD, brought to our world by the Word of the Angels. We make them – we distribute them – others find them – others keep them So, we need KNITTERS!
David Betts (at the Methodist Church, contact: 01252-328959) is co-ordinating the project, so all will radiate from there in due course – but for now, START KNITTING … and THANKS. Each angel will have a Christmas message attached to them (details to follow) – and all will serve as a symbol of blessing for whoever finds them.
